Went out for a wedding anniversary meal last night. We were very torn between Nepalese in Buxton or Sushi in Marple. I let
kr0n choose and so we went to Sushi Haus in Marple.
It was a tiny little place, which somehow for me made it feel more Japanese. The written menu wasn't really worth it, the real action was a huge cramped backboard full of "specials", aka most of what you might actually want to order. I wish I could do the creativity of this menu justice, but suffice to say it's maybe not a purists sushi place (pretty sure they had several rolls with cheese involved) but for sheer bursting creativity it gets a 10/10.
Actually next time I go I'm going to have to order something more "plain" to get a clearer gauge on how it really compares, but no matter what we're going to be darkening their doors again soon! Plus.. They do take-out!
