A weekend in the (slightly further) North

I'm back from a weekend in Lancaster. Mostly spent sitting around in comfort watching films. Often with a nice bottle of Hobgoblin in tow. Also finally went for a pint in the Water Witch a pub which bobtfish recommended to me agggggeeess ago. I loved it because the beer was luuurvely. I suspect that wiggi would definatly like it due to the barmaids claim of having every flavour of vodka under the sun (and pub description which can include a sentance with barmaid and vodka in it normally does it for wig anyway).

Also there in an lj/manchester representing capacity were d1550lu510n3d & amethyst_kitty. We all went to see the hitchhikers movie in the ye-olde Lancaster cinema. The cinima is so ye-olde that the ticket were still in the style of a raffle ticket..

Unfortunatly the Lancaster quaintness was about on a par (funny wise) as the hitchhikers film. It was very much o-k, not scandelously awful, but not amusing or hitchhikersy enough at all. But the new radio series starts tomorrow at 6:30 so set your PVRs.. It's on at 6:30 so I'll have to try and listen to it on the train home..

I'm going to fib again! The music lineup isn't too special, but it's an amazing party festival. It's a shame (especially musically) that I didn't get a Reading ticket this year. But Glastonbury and Benicassim is no meger festival lineup :)
