The Outer Worlds Ate my life..

Wow it's so good to go back to a game like this but with Obsidian's writing. I knew I was going to enjoy when I was planning my second run before I'd left the character creation screen, it will be a "stupid" run as picking a low intelligence character unlocks more dialogue options. And that feeling proceeds throughout the game because there are choices in the game that definitely make you want to go back and try the other forks.
I'm enjoying it! And escapism isn't a bad thing right now :)

Portugal this year! No kr0n, but lovely to spend a quiet week with family and friends. I very much needed a holiday of relaxation rather than activity and this was it. Note to self, really must try and have more time off work before August in future years!
Games taken this year:
- Hive. My favourite, much back-and-forth in my games with Moj.
- Sushi go. Excellent fun (even if I'm bad at it).
- Coup. Popular although I'm not so fussed.
- Skull. Always the best choice after a few beers.
Spending a week with Lou, my niece was fun. She is a terror. Spend much of the time distributing shells. Got soundly told off when I put mine down about the place. She brought it back and gave me a sound telling off.
Otherwise at home managed to finally get shot of our large fridge, the kitchen feels much bigger now!
Plastic heroin anyone?
Apr. 20th, 2011 11:02 amI played a quick game of $GAMES_WORKSHOP with
cha5e at the weekend. Ostensibly to give him a neutral opponent to play against to get his head around the modern-era rules.
Now I find myself looking at army lists and thinking about tactics.
This comes on the back of the recent indecent where
zombificus innocently got me to play a little Magic the gathering.. Which was swiftly followed by me finding myself with a deck of new cards in my sweaty palms. It's kind of like I'm regressing back through my old gaming addictions.

Richard Morgan - Scripting Games?!
Nov. 25th, 2009 03:14 pmRichard Morgan (guy who wrote Altered Carbon and Market Forces) has been contracted to write some games for EA. Interesting stuff! I hope this will be a growing trend which will make gaming even more absorbing than it already is.
I STILL want Bethesdia and China Mieville to team up and make a Bas-Lag sandbox game.. But I'm guessing that I'll just have to keep waiting on that one.
