You remember I made some posts a little while back about pandora.com ?
Well that was pretty good. But last.fm is much better! For one thing they have a linux native player! Besides that they have the "stuff like X radio" feature that pandora has (and I'm loving the recommendations so far!) :
But they take it further than that. They're compatible with the audioscrobbler thingamy which plugs into lots of music players so they can get a handle on what you listen to to help find other stuff you'd like. Plus there's a whole community of people and you can go around listening to their profiles for goodies. Basically they've taken the same basic idea as pandora but made it much much better :)
Update: Ah some of the tastier features require subscription (like lj). Here is how to make the lastfm:// links work in firefox though!
