For the internet record (no pun indended)

I'm just tranforming my first set of vinyl rips into FLAC format.

While I am at it I'd like to mention that my Numark TT USB turntable works very well with Linux, just plugged and played using the "snd-usb-audio" driver and appeared in Audacity as a usb soundcard.

I'm partly wrting this because having lived through the old days of linux hardware support I did try and find which turntables were likely to work and there wasn't a lot of info!
