However there is human food as well: strawberries, potatoes, onions, herbs, tomatoes.. We'll see how that goes. All we need now are the chickens and we'll be much more ready for post-apocalyptic survival.
Oh one thing of historical note.. We had planted a cutting from the Hollyfast Road mint (which has travelled from my grandparents [Gwen & Burt] garden to my parents garden and on to Sycamore Cottage), which looked very dead after several months under the snow, but is now showing green shoot again. This is a good indication that this is a proper place for Higtons to be residing!
The only problem with all this is Karen's unhealthy obsession she's developed with Alan Titchmarsh. I am hoping this is a phase..
