A good night
Nov. 5th, 2020 10:15 amWith all that's going on in the world I forgot to document how nice my halloween was.
First of all went to meet Nigel and Rachel, who've just moved to the opposite side of the valley, for a drink at the gin boat. Which is actually called something else entirely. But it's a narrowboat that sells gin made from foraged ingredients, what else should I call it? Anyway, it was beautiful sitting on the towpath in amongst all the leaves, fussing an extremely awesome dog (not mine) and drinking rhubarb gin with ginger ale and chatting with my new neighbours (ish).
Then I went over the hill to the reservoir for a "moonrise swim". Which was fun, swimming in the dark and watching a brilliant full moon rising bright and true, while crazy people howled at us from the woods.
Finally back home to
kr0nulous to watch Twin Peaks, abortively watch a horror film and then on to the Mandalorian to round the night out.
Perfect.
And makes up for spending bonfire night, well, not doing anything fun I expect.
