Make tea not riots #operationcupoftea

What with the rioters being mostly kids they've made better use of modern technology than the police. This is no great surprise, and predictably has lead to lots of journalists running the lazy "Look! Twitter and BBM made riots happen!" story.

So it's been really heartening to see the twitter response. Firstly the reassurance of #OperationCupofTea, cue obligatory tea photos:





And also the more practical #riotcleanup, where people have organised to go and help clean up the mess. It's all very morale boosting and reassuring at a time when you'd otherwise be loosing faith in your fellow man.

Hmm, time of another cup of tea I think.
