Just watched this video of an interview with China Miéville , it's from before City and the City, so no new book hints. But, he does mention that he's definitely doing more Bas-Lag books and that he'd keep going back there [bas-lag] for the rest of his life, and indeed that he's do another in two or three books time. Sounds like great news, except given China's writing rate two or three books time could be a long time (although we've already had one of them!)

update: Oh and this one contains a mention of his next few book ideas, in summary: fantasy, sci-fi then ghosts.

According to the wikipedia entry for China Miéville in the adaptations section there's a mention of the fact that an RPG based on the Bas Lag world is coming out in Autumn this year!

The actual adamant entertainment website seems a little ropey, but still, I'm looking forward to being able to actually run/play a game in New Croburzon!
