Back in Bow
Sep. 22nd, 2008 08:34 pmGot back from Rome this morning, got up at 3AM rome-time to get here, AND I've been to work for a fair bit of the day so I'm totally shattered.
So in short, Rome was every bit as fantastic as I hoped it would be. Un-expected perks came in the fact that the people who ran the B&B were fantastic, and I'm pretty sure we'll see them again!
Obviously the food, and the various wonders ( especially the Ancient sites like the forum and colusseum ) were fantastic as you'd expect. More surprising high points were odd things like the bizzare Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini which a picture can hardly sum up, but will describe it better than my tired brain:

Also surprising was the strange experience of tourning the crypt where the past Popes are entombed.
Aside from the morbid and the food and the ruins, there was he beautiful buildings of the city itself which we spent many hours staring at!
Finally of course there was the secret purpose behind the trip (which the eagle eyed amongst you have already discovered via facebook). Midway though the holiday I proposed to the
